Fargo's fifth generation of HDP printers combines the best reverse transfer card features with an optional 600 dpi print head and lamination.

The new Fargo HDP5600 prints high definition cards with unmatched image quality, especially with the new optional 600 dpi print head.

Rather than printing directly onto the surface of a card, a reverse transfer printer prints the image first on a specialized clear film. The film is then fused to the card's surface, which not only gives you a sharp and vivid appearance, but provides a layer of protection from wear and tear and card tampering.

This also makes the HDP5600 ideal for printing on cards with uneven surfaces because the print head doesn't directly touch the card, including smart cards.

Laminating cards can double or triple their lifespan – adding an extra layer of protection between the information on the card and everyday stresses. Even better, it serves as an effective anti-tampering measure – any attempt at altering or tampering with the card is immediately visible.

It can also be an effective anti-counterfeit measure with a customized hologram. This means your card program will be the only one with your holographic lamination design, allowing you to print secure ID cards.
