The Magicard Prima 3 Uno ID Card Printer is an effective solution for printing durable, professional quality cards with ease. Reverse Transfer Printing Ensures Quality Cards
The Magicard Prima 3 Uno uses reverse transfer printing, a process where a mirror (reverse) image of the card is printed onto an overlay film, which is then applied to a card, "sandwiching" the image between the card and the overlay film. The overlaminate layer protects the card from abrasive outside elements like friction - which can wear a normal card's image down over time - and keeps cards looking newer longer. A card printed with a reverse transfer printer like the Magicard Prima 3 Uno can last several times longer than a card printed with direct-to-card or inkjet technology. Also, because the card image is not printed directly onto the card, the Magicard Prima 3 Uno can easily print cards with embedded technology (like smart cards and RFID cards) without compromising quality.
The Magicard Prima 3 Uno also offers true over-the-edge printing. This means that the card's image will go all the way to the edge of the card - without borders - giving your cards that subtle professional edge that can make the difference between a good ID card and a great one.

The Magicard Prima 3 Uno can print up to 90 single-sided color cards with overlay per hour - less than a minute per card. These cards can be more than just PVC cards - the Prima 3 Uno can print on CR80 sized cards that are made from ABS, PET, PVH and Polycarbonate plastics. Not only that, the Prima 3 can be adjusted to print on cards with different thicknesses - from 10 mil all the way to 80 mil. Need more than simple, single-sided cards? The Prima 3 Uno can be customized with several embedded security options - magnetic stripe encoding, contactless smart card encoding (supports MiFare, DESFire, HID iClass and Legic formats), smart cards, and LaserCard Encoding.
