The Magicard Prima 3 Duo is a double-sided color ID card printer that offers professional quality reverse-transfer card printing with a wide variety of optional features that can be customized to fit any business.
Professional Quality Printing
In about the time it takes to fix a cup of coffee, the Prima 3 Duo double-sided badge printer can print a double sided card with full color on the front and black and white on the reverse. That's about 100 cards per hour! But not only does the Prima 3 Duo print cards quickly - they are also extremely durable with clear, high quality images - thanks to reverse transfer printing. Instead of printing the card's image directly onto the card, the Prima 3 Duo first prints a reverse image of the card onto a special overlaminate film, and then applies the film to the card. Instead of being exposed to outside elements that can damage the image and shorten the life of the card, the card's image is protected by a durable overlay that keeps the card looking like the day it was printed for much longer than a card from an inkjet card. Along with extending the card's lifespan, the overlaminate also gives the card a professional touch with over-the-edge printing. Unlike cards printed with an inkjet or resin thermal transer card printer, reverse transfer printers like the Prima 3 Duo extend the card image all the way to the edge of the card, leaving no border.
Flexible Features and Uses for the Prima 3 Duo
The Prima 3 Duo has a variety of optional encoding features that can tailor the printer to meet your exact needs. The HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder, for example, can be added to a Prima 3 Duo to make school ID cards - the front of the card can have a student photo and a barcode, and the back can have a magnetic stripe for checking out library books and paying for cafeteria meals. Add a contactless smart card, RFID or smart card encoder to the Prima 3 Duo for employee ID cards - these encoded features can help with office access control and make time & attendance easy and much more efficient. An inline lamination unit can add holographs to the card for high security applications like banks and government buildings.
