For functional and durable printing, the Magicard Prima 4 Uno with magnetic stripe encoding produces high-quality, professional cards with ease at a rate of up to 80 cards per hour. The Prima 4 Uno uses reverse transfer printing technology to quickly print not only standard PVC cards, but other non-standard card formats as well, such as smart cards and RFID clamshell cards. The Prima 4 Uno even prints non-PVC format cards such as ABS, PET, PVH and polycarbonate.
Flexible Reverse Transfer Printing
Using reverse transfer printing, the Magicard Prima 4 Uno prints superior quality ID cards with true edge-to-edge printing on every pass. During the printing process a reverse image of the card is printed onto an overlay film, which is then fused to the surface of the card. This overlaminate creates a protective and durable barrier for the card against outside elements and everyday wear and tear, ensuring the cards will last several times longer than those printed with either inkjet card printers or direct-to-card printing. Since the Prima 4 Uno doesn’t print directly onto the card, printing on cards that have embedded technology, like smart chips and RFID cards, is no problem and will not compromise the professional quality of the print job.
Magnetic Stripe Encoding Adds Security and Functionality
With the addition of a HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder, the Magicard Prima 4 Uno produces secure, multifunctional single-sided cards. Magnetic stripe encoding technology works for a wide variety of applications including access control, cashless payment, time management, attendance tracking, customer rewards programs, library cards and more. The Prima 4 Uno with magnetic stripe encoding is ideal for large organizations with high-volume, secure and versatile printing needs.
