The dual-sided Magicard Prima 4 Duo with magnetic stripe encoding offers large organizations an ideal way to quickly produce professional and multifunctional ID cards. Printing at a rate of up to 80 cards per hour, the reverse transfer printing method meets the needs of companies and organizations who have high-volume printing demands.
Professional Cards with Reverse Transfer Printing
With reverse transfer printing, instead of printing directly onto the card, the Prima 4 Duo first prints a reverse image of the ID card onto a special overlaminate film. The film is then applied to the card and fused to the surface. This creates a special protective barrier for the card, shielding it from everyday wear and tear and tampering. The overlaminate also protects it from elements that might damage the image, further extending the life of the card. Because of this unique print method, the Prima 4 Duo can print on standard PVC cards as well as cards with non-standard PVC formats such as ABS, PET, PVH, and even polycarbonate. The Prima 4 Duo is uniquely suited to printing on cards with embedded electronics without compromising the print quality such as smart cards and RFID cards. The overlaminate also lends another professional touch to ID cards with true edge-to-edge printing. This print method extends the image to the edge of each card removing any borders.
Magnetic Strip Encoding Provides Versatility and Security
This Prima 4 Duo configuration features magnetic stripe encoding, which adds security and versatility to any ID card program. With a HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder, ID cards can be programmed to perform a range of functions including access control, time and attendance management, cashless payment, customer loyalty programs and more.
