Professional Quality Reverse Transfer Printing

The Magicard Prima 4 Duo prints dual-sided ID cards using the reverse transfer print method. With reverse transfer printing, the reverse image of the card is first printed onto a special film. The overlaminate is then fused to the surface of the card, creating a protective barrier between the card and outside elements that over time can corrupt the integrity of the image. Using edge-to-edge printing the Prima 4 Duo brings a professional, high-quality look to the card with no borders. The Prima 4 Duo even easily prints on non-standard PVC cards such as ABS, PET, PVH, and polycarbonate. In addition, the high-volume printer can even print on cards with embedded electronics without compromising the quality of the image.

Added Durability and Security with Inline Lamination

The Prima 4 Duo’s inline laminator extends the life of ID cards even further, making ID programs more durable and more secure. The dual-sided laminator can produce thin holographic laminates or thicker overlaminate patches. Choose from clear, holographic, or custom laminates. The lamination unit is user-friendly with a front display panel for easily programmable temperature and speed settings, which can be adjusted based on what type of card is being printed. A portrait orientation lamination mode makes the entire process run smoothly and efficiently.
