The Fargo DTC1000 offers superior print quality with full color edge-to-edge printing. For convenience and versatility, the DTC1000 comes with an eco-friendly rewrite feature. Combined with ID cards with a heat-sensitive surface, ID cards can be erased and reused again and again, a system ideal for temporary cards such as visitor badges and transit passes. For further convenience, the Fargo DTC1000 prints on a variety of card thicknesses as thin as 9 mil right on up to cards used for sophisticated access control badges at 40 mil.
With integrated Swift ID badging application software, the DTC1000 is ready to create ID badges right out of the box without installing any additional software. The Fargo printer also comes with an all in one print ribbon and card cleaning cartridge to simplify the ribbon loading process. Using half panel ribbons, users can personalize pre-printed cards with a photo and a barcode. Making the printing process more efficient, a 100 card input hopper and 30 card output hopper streamline the printing process by making batch printing possible.
Besides impressive built-in features, the Fargo DTC1000 ID card printer also offers optional features that increase the versatility of any card program. The ID card printer comes with either single or dual-sided printing. A single-sided printer can still be used to print dual-sided cards running the card through the printer in two separate passes. The dual-sided Fargo DTC1000 model prints ID cards with unique information on each side of the card in one pass. A magnetic stripe encoding module creates truly multifunctional cards for applications such as access control, cashless payment, time and attendance tracking and more. Magnetic stripe encoding can be added to the Fargo DTC1000 at any time.
