The Evolis Tattoo RW is a remarkable printer that can actually erase and reprint the same ID card over and over again. The Tattoo RW is a monochrome printer, which makes it ideal for erasing and printing cardholder information and barcodes on pre-printed cards, or for printing single-color IDs. It's well suited for a variety of ID applications including temporary visitor badges, student IDs, membership and loyalty cards, ski passes, transit passes, and more.
The printer uses special rewriteable cards featuring a thermochromatic material that becomes visible or disappears based on the applied temperature. Using this process you can actually erase and rewrite information on the same card up to 500 times. The printing process is also completely ribbon-free, so you're saving money and reducing waste both with your cards and printing supplies.
Friendly to the environment and your wallet, the Evolis Tattoo RW is truly a sustainable solution for basic ID card printing, especially for ID programs with cards that require regular data updates. The printer uses direct thermal printing and erasing. It's very easy to operate, and it accepts both hand-fed printing and batch printing with a detachable 100-card feeder.
